ALAN M. COLVIN, born in Pensacola, Florida on December 8, 1975 and been a resident of Mobile, Alabama since 1985. He attended the University of South Alabama where he obtained a Bachelor of Science in Finance in 1998. He then attended The University of Alabama School of Law where he obtained his Juris Doctorate in 2001. While in law school, Mr. Colvin served as an Editing Member of the Journal of the Legal profession. Following law school, he served as a Judicial Clerk to the late Mobile County Circuit Court Judge William H. McDermott in the Thirteenth Judicial Circuit of Alabama. Before joining Clay, Massey and Associates, he spent over a year practicing with an insurance defense firm in the Mobile area and three years as a sole practitioner focusing primarily on criminal defense and civil plaintiff cases. In October, 2006, he joined Clay, Massey and Associates where he handles a variety of personal injury cases. Mr. Colvin is a member of the Alabama State Bar, the Mobile Bar Association, the Alabama Association for justice and the South Alabama Trial Lawyers Association. He has extensive experience practicing in Alabama State Courts and is admitted to practice in The United States District Court, Southern District of Alabama.
